After touring Toyota North America's H2HQ facility last week, I can comfortably say that the teams there are absolutely leading the industry when it comes to hydrogen fuel cell technology. Fuel Cells are a perfect fit for decarbonizing the Medium- and Heavy-Duty commercial freight market, and I'm excited that PACCAR and TMNA are working so closely to bring FCEVs to the North American market! Customer response to the Kenworth Truck Co. T680FCEV and Peterbilt Motors Company 579HFC has been overwhelmingly positive and I think we're going to see a watershed moment in our industry once these trucks make it into our fleets' hands.#zev #fcev #zeroemissions #fuelcell #hydrogen #ohwhatafeeling #letsgoplaces #theworldsbest

If you've spent any time around me in a professional (or even non-professional) setting, you've likely heard me talk about the "Shore to Store" program, which proves out hydrogen's future as a fuel for mobility. National Renewable Energy Laboratory have just published an excellent summary of the program that shares a great deal of insight into the success of the program including the direct, immediate, and positive impacts to air quality in the Port of Los Angeles/Port of Long Beach complex brought about by using the 10 Kenworth Truck Co. T680 OCEAN FCEVs powered by Toyota Motor Corporation's fuel cell powertrain. Though the T680 OCEAN tractors were prototypes, they exceeded expectations and helped solidify the partnership between PACCAR and Toyota that's led to the production of the T680FCEV. One of my favorite things about the T680FCEV is how it retains the versatility of an internal combustion engine-powered T680, but does the job(s) while only emitting water.
