Ingredients
- 3 cups sliced Granny Smith apples 339 grams, from 4 apples (¼-inch thick slices)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar 150 grams
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 8 grams
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3 grams
For the Topping
- ¾ cup old fashioned oats 75 grams
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour 90 grams
- ¾ cup brown sugar 160 grams
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder 1 gram
- ½ cup unsalted butter 113 grams, melted (1 stick)
- ½ cup chopped pecans 57 grams

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 8×8-inch baking pan with nonstick spray. Set aside.
In a large bowl, use a spatula to fold together the apples, sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon. Pour the apples into the prepared pan.
3 cups sliced Granny Smith apples, ¾ cup granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Make the topping: In a large bowl, using a spatula, fold the topping ingredients until large crumbles are formed. Spread the topping mixture over the apples.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, checking at around 25 minutes. The crumble is done when the top is a golden brown color and the apples are soft.
Notes
- If you do not have Granny Smith apples, the best alternatives to use are Cortland apples.
- This recipe can be doubled in a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Serve this recipe warm or cold.

3/4 cup of sugar for the apples is really excessive. Is that a typo/error? Even if you have the biggest sweet tooth, 3-4 tablespoons will go a long long way.
3/4 cup brown sugar for the topping can be reduced to half.

Best apple crisp recipe! Easy & all ingredients I had on hand. The 1st time I only had almonds & it was delicious! Now I use a mix of both or any candied nuts I have on hand. I drizzle a little honey on top before I bake it also. My go to recipe now! Thank you so much
