Can you adjust loft on Titleist TS2 driver?

Yes, you can adjust the loft on the Titleist TS2 driver. The Titleist TS2 driver SureFit hosel allows you to adjust the TS2 driver up to 16 different positions.

To adjust the TS2 driver, you will have to use a wrench to open the clubhead screw. Once the clubhead is open, remove the head to find two clogs provided for loft adjustment.

The upper cog/ring has alphabets, while the lower one has numbers. Use the Titleist SureFit chart (provided in the next section) to make the loft adjustment with the two cogs. The driver comes with a standard loft setting.

How do I adjust the settings on my Titleist TS2driver?

The Titleist drivers come with a SureFit hosel system. This lets you change the loft and lie angle to improve and control your shot. Adjusting the setting is easy and simple if you follow the instructions.

Remember to not change the swing weight in the sole. This has been carefully calculated and decided by experts. Though you can loosen and change the swing weight, I don’t recommend doing it.

The TS2 driver comes with a T wrench to remove the head so that you can adjust the loft and bias to suit your requirements. Don’t use other tools except the ones provided by the manufacturer. This will prevent the screw heads from being damaged.

Steps to adjust the settings on a Titleist TS2 Driver:

Follow the below steps to adjust the setting on the Titleist TS2 driver:

  1. Place the sharp end of the wrench on the top of the screw.
  2. Turn it in an anti-clockwise direction to loosen the screw until the clubhead screw is fully open.
  3. Remove the head and you’ll see cogs/rings with alphabets and numbers on them.
  • The upper ring has alphabets A, B, C, and D.
  • The lower ring has numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4.

The above values correspond to the loft and lie settings on the driver.

  1. Raise the loft up to 1.5° or lower it up to 0.75°.
  2. Adjust the lie to 1.5° upright or 0.75° flatter.

The default setting from the factory is A.1 for right-handed golfers. You can set 16 unique combinations of loft and lie to get the desired launch, spin and speed.

  1. Once you adjust the setting, place the head back on the shaft.
  2. Use the wrench to turn the screw in the clockwise direction.
  3. Tighten it slowly until you hear the click sound.
  4. Stop here. Don’t tighten after hearing the click. It’ll damage the driver.
  5. Swing and win your game.

Golfers tend to record more spin and high launch when the stated loft is increased. However, this setting makes them compromise on their distance. The draw is maximum when the driver is set to the A3 position with both the loft and lie angle at their maximum values.

While the standard setting is good to use, you might want to keep the following aspects in mind.

  • 1 is the standard position.
  • Position the rings to A.2 position if you want more draw than with the stated loft.
  • Change the rings to A.3 position if you want maximum draw as well as to hit the ball high in the air.
  • Opt for B.4 position for maximum loft and a flat lie angle.
  • Set the position of the rings to C.1 for the least loft and maximum fade.

Which is more forgiving TS2 or TS3?

TS2 driver is more forgiving than TS3. Titleist highlights that TS2 has been designed for maximum forgiveness. On the other hand, TS3 has been designed to fine-tune the speed for better performance.

The face of the TS2 driver has a variable thickness that decreases the center of gravity. Since all shots don’t come from exactly the middle of the club, this design allows TS2 to be more forgiving than the TS3 driver.

What is the head weight of the TS2 driver?

The head weight of the TS2 driver offered by the manufacturer is 6.84oz (194 grams). This includes the stock weight of 0.317oz (9 grams) provided by Titleist. You can change the weights by replacing them with heavier or lighter ones. The weights are denoted using the + or – sign to indicate that they are either heavier or lighter than the standard weight.
